Pricing per page, not per mystery.

A page is a page — PDF, scan, fax, whatever. No per-endpoint fees, no "contact sales to learn what extraction costs." Prices in EUR, VAT excluded.

Talk to us

the first 1,000 pages are free on every plan — benchmark on your real documents before paying anyone anything, including us.

Per-page rates by volume

Once you're past the included pages, this is what a page costs. The rate steps down automatically within the billing period — no negotiation required for the first two tiers.

Pages that fail with extraction_failed (no fields matched) aren't billed. Pages that parse but land in your human-review queue are — the OCR did run, after all. We've gone back and forth on this; the current line is where it landed.

FAQ

What counts as a page?

A rendered page in the source document. A 212-page contract is 212 pages, whether it's a fax, a scan or a born-digital PDF. Attachments inside a container (say, an .eml with three PDFs) count as their own pages.

What happens when I hit my monthly pages?

On Free, parsing stops with 429 rate_limited until the next month — upgrade or wait, your choice. On Scale, overage simply bills at the rates above and nothing stops. You can set a spend cap in the dashboard if you'd rather it hard-stop.

Is there a trial of Scale?

No trial, but the Free tier is the same engine — same parsers, same schemas, same accuracy, just smaller numbers. Run 1,000 of your real pages through it. If the output isn't worth €249 to you, we'd rather you found out for free.

Do you charge for the sandbox?

No. Sandbox keys (us_test_) with fixture documents are free and unmetered on every plan, including Free. Test all you like; we only count real parses.

VAT? Invoices?

Prices exclude VAT. EU customers without a valid VAT ID get German VAT (19%) added; everyone else reverse-charges. Monthly card billing by default, or annual invoice with two months free — email sales@unstructred.io.

Startup or nonprofit discount?

Companies under two years old: 50% off Scale for the first year. Registered nonprofits and academic institutions: same, indefinitely, no time limit — email us from your institutional address.

Can I self-host?

The SDK is yours; the parsing models and pipelines run here. Self-hosting the whole engine isn't offered today — it's on the maybe-someday list, and we'll be honest: not soon.

Comparing us to a data entry team?

Fair. A reviewer handling 300 pages a day at full cost will run you roughly €0.04–0.08 per page depending on where you hire. We're cheaper per page, faster, and available at 3am — but they'll catch things we miss on genuinely ambiguous documents. Our best customers use both: us for the 97%, humans for the 3% that needs judgment. The confidence scores exist exactly for that split.
